<p>The brake assembly includes a support bearing (8) which functions as support for brake jaws (3,4) by means of shoulders and as the thermo-regulator of the play between the brake jaws by means of the flanged edge (8a) which is preferably equidistant from the cylindrical work face of the brake drum (5). The smallest possible play (G) for heat passage is provided between the flanged edge and work face with corresponding temperature-conditioned changes in the length of the support bearing and consequently distance between the brake jaws. Sufficient play is ensured between brake jaws and brake drum (5) in entire possible range of operating temperatures. A resetting device with spring automatically compensates wear.</p> |
