<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rapid return of a cursor image to a designated position by an extremely simple operation even if the position of the cursor image is moved to a position different from the designated position for copying process, retrieval process or the like by storing the position of a document under generation as the designated position. <P>SOLUTION: A mouse 4 generates an operation signal according to click or drag. A RAM 6 stores, when the position of the cursor image displayed in the document under generation on the screen of a display part 8 is designated by the operation signal from the mouse 4, data of the home position of the designated position.
