<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light emit light emitting bodies in accordance with the hitting state of a pad body of an electronic percussion instrument which generates musical signals corresponding to the hitting of the pad body being detected. <P>SOLUTION: Fixed contacts 62 and 64 and an LED light source 65 are arranged on the top surface of a flexible substrate 6 of a circular pad storage section 1. Eight light emitting bodies 5 which are transparent to a certain degree, have elasticity and approximately revolving body shapes are arranged at the rim section of a pad outer skin body 2. White color paint 52c is painted onto a recessed surface 52a of a light collecting section 52 of the light emitting body 5. Strength of light emission at a light guiding and light emitting section 51 of the light emitting body 5 is varied in accordance with the change in the distance between the light collecting section 52 and the LED light source 65 while the pad outer skin body 2 is being hit. A top end surface 51a of the light emitting body 5 is made same to a hitting surface 21 of the pad body 20. The light emitting bodies 5 are made into elastic bodies.
