<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling IC regulator of an onboard generator, capable of improving fuel consumption by suspending the generator while an engine is accelerated, with no accidental alarm. <P>SOLUTION: The IC regulator is capable of outputting the signal where the duty of control pulse is changed to provide zero pulse width by switching a reference voltage, and also capable of outputting the signal indicating abnormality and the signal instruction a forced power generation when the induced voltage of the coil of a generator is equal to a prescribed level or below, based on the output of a voltage detecting means (212). A comparator (226) compares a reference voltage Vref with the voltage detected by a voltage detecting means (211).
