PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the life of an electric motor in a motor-driven fan system for a vehicle, in which cooling air is circulated through a radiator 100 and a condenser 110 of an air conditioner for an automobile. SOLUTION: This motor-driven fan system for a vehicle includes: a motor-driven blower 20 for circulating cooling air through the radiator 100 and the condenser 110 by a brushless motor 12; a motor-driven blower 20 for circulating cooling air through the radiator 100 and the condenser 110 by a motor 22 with a brush; and an electronic control device 40 for an engine, which operates only the motor-driven blower 10 when the temperature of the cooling water is determined to be under T2 on the basis of the detection output from a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the cooling water, and operates both of the motor-driven blowers 10, 20 when the temperature of the cooling water is determined to be T2 or higher. Thus, when the temperature of the cooling water does not become T2 or more, the motor-driven blower 20 will not be operated so that the availability factor of the motor 22 with a brush can be lowered and the life of the motor 22 with a brush can be lengthen.
