PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester for head-forming vegetables capable of easily harvesting a head-forming vegetable fallen down on a ridge and difficult to be harvested by a conventional harvester and reducing the load of selection work. SOLUTION: The head-forming vegetable harvester is provided with a pulling pretreatment device 4 for pulling a head-forming vegetable A, a cutting device 8 for cutting the root stalk A2 of the vegetable, a longitudinal transportation device 7 for clamping the bulb A1 and transporting backward, and a crawler unit 1 holding the above devices. Assistant taking wheels 19L, 19R are attached to the front end of the pulling pretreatment device 4, an outer leaf discharging device 9 for discharging the outer leaf A3 cut with the cutting device 8 is attached at the back of the longitudinal transportation device 7, and a selection device 10 and a discharging device 11 for selecting the bulbs A1 by size and discharging in a state classified by size are placed at the back of the outer leaf discharging device 9.
