<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth fault protection device for the generator of a gas turbine power generation plant, applied with a neutral-point side earth fault protection relay of a generator capable of detecting an earth fault accident on the neutral-point side outside the generator, even with a starter provided for starting the gas turbine of a gas turbine power generation plant. <P>SOLUTION: A starter 11 starts a gas turbine with a generator 1 of a gas turbine power generation plant as an induction motor. An earth fault overcurrent relay 7 is provided and a harmonics current detecting means 8 and a neutral-point side earth fault protection relay 9 are provided parallel to a neutral-point ground resistor 2. A fuse 12 is provided between the neutral-point ground resistor 2 and the harmonics current detecting means 8. A third harmonics current is detected to operate the neutral-point side earth fault protection relay 9, at neutral-point side earth fault, for protecting the generator 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
