<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, by which an effect on a usual life is reduced extremely and a pipe is replaced efficiently and rapidly when the existing pipe between two manholes is replaced with a new pipe. <P>SOLUTION: Holes, in which a pipe replacing device with a cut section 3 and a diameter expanding section 4 can be passed, are formed concentrically to the existing pipes to both manholes 1 and 2, and a traction device 16 is installed to the arrival-side manhole 2. The cut section and the diameter expanding section are connected successively and introduced into the existing pipes from the starting-side manhole 1, and a sewage bypass 9 bypassing the existing pipes between both manholes is mounted. The traction device is operated, the connected cut section and diameter expanding section are forwarded gradually and intermittently and the new pipes are connected continuously and inserted successively in a hole-shaped opening for installing the new pipes formed as the result. All the existing pipes are replaced with the new pipes by repeating a gradual forwarding and the insertion of the new pipes, and soil in the vicinity of the connecting sections of both manholes and the new pipes is improved by a soil improvement agent after the completion of the replacement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
