PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus and a photographing method for reducing a processing burden thereby shortening a processing time. SOLUTION: In a photographing device 100, a camera 30 uses a CCD 31 (first conversion means) to convert light that is made incident through a lens 65, into an analog signal, uses an ADC 58a (second conversion means) to convert the analog signal into a digital signal and further uses a digital processing IC 58c (digital processing means) to perform digital processing, thereafter uses an image format converting means 59 (third conversion means) to convert the digital signal into image data of a predetermined image format and transfers to a PC 50. The PC 50 stores the transferred image data into an image memory 70. Namely, the camera 30 does not store but transfers data relating to a converted electric signal resulting from photographing an object to the PC 50.
