PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a frictional pad capable of shortening a manufacturing time, and providing the frictional pad of high quality free from the cracking, the increase of pressure variation in heat treatment. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the frictional pad comprises process of placing a back plate 21 having an adhesive layer 20 on its upper face, in a lower mold 16, a process for placing a cylindrical intermediate mold 15 in a state of being kept into contact with the upper face of the back plate 21 at its lower face; process of supplying the required amount of frictional material 27 into the intermediate mold 25; process of assembling an upper mold 29 having a pressing part 31 capable of being entered into the intermediate mold 25; process of relatively pressing the upper mold 29 and the lower mold 16 by energizing force of a spring 23 and pressing the frictional material 27 by the pressing part 31 to mold a pad part of the required shape; a baking process by putting the mold device 10 in a heating treatment furnace for heating in a state that the upper mold 29 and the lower mold 16 are relatively pressed by the energizing force of the spring 23.
