PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter assembly for a vacuum cleaner by which dust collected by the filter can be easily removed and the filter can be used semi-permanently in a process for filtering minute dust included in the air. SOLUTION: The filter assembly for the vacuum cleaner comprises a primary filter 82 for filtering the minute dust in the air, in which dust is filtered by a cyclone system, a filter case 81 in which the primary filter 82 is provided on the outer peripheral part and a plurality of vent holes are provided on the outer peripheral part, and a secondary filter 83 which is mounted inside the filter case 81 and filters the minute dust in the air passing through the primary filter 82 again.
