PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transgenic mouse usable as a model for Alzheimer's disease. SOLUTION: The objective mouse is a transgenic mouse or its progenies having the same properties as the transgenic mouse, which has germ cells and somatic cells containing recombinant DNA comprising neuron specific enolase promoter affectablly connected to p25 coding sequence and has increased total tau in somatic cells of the brain, increased tau phosphorylation or increased neurofibrillary hyperphosphorylation in the brain, or increased argentation of neurone.
