<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique which enables the precise and detailed measurement and the detection of the quantitative amount of corrosion, by enabling an inspector to judge the corrosion of a stretched laid cable, without occurrence of individual differences in his judgment and without occurrence of influence of external parameters, in a method of determining the corrosion of the cable in a conductive wire way. <P>SOLUTION: This is a method of diagnosing the corrosion by acquiring the data of electric resistance at its target point, in the conductive wire way which supplies electricity by the laid cable. The laid cable is a stranded conductor consisting of a plurality of layers and element wires, and the target point is the specified point of the laid cable or the specified point including the laid cables and a member for coupling them. The data on the relation between electric resistance and corrosion is acquired, using a reference object which has the same constitution as the target point and can simulate the same state as the target point. The data are made the reference data at the target point, and in the laid cable at the target point, electric contact is removed from the cable so as to measure the electric resistance thereby acquiring actually measured electric resistance data. The variation of the corrosion of the laid cable is obtained by comparing the acquired actually measured electric resistance data with the reference data, thus the degree of the corrosion at the target point is diagnosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
