PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam generator which has improved cooling efficiency of a solid laser medium and easily realized a high output. SOLUTION: The laser beam generator 21 includes a laser diode 26 for emitting excitation light 26a, the solid laser medium 22 for receiving the excitation light 26a from the laser diode 26 and generating stimulated emission light 21b, and a light transmittable window 23 provided in tight contact with the bottom 22c of the medium 22.
