PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treatment agent composition for clothing capable of imparting excellent skin moisture-retaining effect to the clothing and maintaining the effect for a long time. SOLUTION: The treatment agent composition for clothing contains a compound having at least one quaternary ammonium group and one ester group in the molecule, a compound producing a skin moisture-retaining component (a1-1) having 300-20,000 molecular weight and at least one hydroxy group and a quaternary ammonium carbobetaine (a1-2) when it decomposes, or a compound [(a2)component] expressed by general formula (3), wherein R<SP>7</SP>expresses a 1-8C hydrocarbon group or the like; R<SP>8</SP>and R<SP>9</SP>express each H or a 1-3C alkyl; R<SP>10</SP>and R<SP>11</SP>express each a 1-3C alkyl or the like; X expresses a residue except OH used for the ester bond in the component (a1-1); Y<SP>-</SP>expresses an anion. A method for releasing the components (a1-1) and/or (a1-2), or the component (a2) or a component generated by hydrolysis of the component (a2) from the clothing treated with the treatment agent composition for clothing is also claimed.
