PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process performance data for operating keys in real time. SOLUTION: When a key 1 is touched, the key 1 arrives at a sensor position in due course of time and the key touch time and key touch speed are detected. When a hammer 2 passes sensors SE 1 and SE 2 thereafter, the string striking time and string striking speed are detected and various kinds of event data are formed. When the event data are formed and outputted, a time code (time information) is imparted to the data by each of the events and while the relative time differences between the events are maintained, the performance data are delayed. The delay time of this document is specified to the total value of the maximum time of the information, i.e. the maximum time from the start time of the key touch to the string striking time, the calculated time of a reference locus, and the processing time of a post-recording processing section 31.
