PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of opening a cylinder sickle type lock installed to a door of an unmanned building after a fire started in this building without using a key thereby permitting to start the fire extinguishing activities. SOLUTION: An existing smoke detector designated by the fire prevention law is connected to a shutter or a cylinder sickle type lock key with an electric wire; when smoke generated at the start of a fire is detected by the smoke detector, an electric current is generated and transmitted to an electric wiring network; thereby a magnetic switch is operated and the key is set to the unlocked state. Also, the current flowed continuously during the generation of the smoke can be stopped when the smoke generation is ended and thus it returns again to a locked state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
