<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path converting type optical coupling element that can be used bidirectionally and that can minimize the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: The resin molded body is equipped with two faces (front face 15 and lower face 19) orthogonally crossing each other and a total reflection face 23 forming a roughly 45° angle to the two faces. One face is integrally formed with a plurality of collimator lenses 16 and spacers 17, while the other face is also formed with a plurality of collimator lenses 20 and spacers 21. Between the two faces, there is provided a recess 26 on the reverse side of the total reflection face 23.
