<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with an electronic flash light control function capable of taking a photograph which is well-balanced as an entire image, very atmospheric and has excellent color reproducibility by appropriately controlling an electronic flash by considering what scene is the background for a main subject. <P>SOLUTION: An area where the electronic flash light does not contribute to exposure when an electronic flash part 21 is made to emit light is discriminated, and an imaging device 12 detects an image signal in the discriminated area. On the basis of the image signal detected by the imaging device 12, an arithmetic control circuit 17 decides exposure time as an exposure control value, and arithmetically controls the quantity of electronic flash light emission in photographing according to the exposure time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
