<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a change in the temperature of an object by using electrooptic effect. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature sensor 1 is composed by using electrooptic effect for detecting a temperature change in an organism H by utilizing the phase difference of laser beams L1 according to the electrooptic effect. Then, the temperature sensor 1 comprises: an insulating film 3 and a detection electrode 2, where the organism H comes into contact; an EO crystal 5 that is arranged adjacent to the detection electrode 2 on the optical path of the laser beams L1 and has the electrooptic effect and pyroelectric effect; an information processing circuit 42 (see the figure) for storing relationship data RD for indicating the relationship between the temperature of the EO crystal 5 and parameters related to an electric field inside the EO crystal 5; and an application electrode 12 that is mounted opposite to the detection electrode 2 with sandwiching the optical path of the laser beams L1 in between, in the EO crystal 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
