<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the installing performance, vibration absorption or corrosion resistance, etc., of a snap tap. <P>SOLUTION: A sleeve member 3 is installed in a plug body 2. A rubber ring 4 forming a flange 6 at the end of a cylinder 5 is fitted into the periphery of the sleeve member 3. The cylinder 5 of the sleeve member 3 and the rubber ring 4 are inserted into the hole 8a of a main pipe 8 to make the flange 6 be brought into contact with the periphery 8b of the main pipe 8. The front end of the sleeve member 3 is expanded in diameter in the main pipe 8 to install the plug body 2 in the main pipe 8. The sleeve member 3 is inserted in the plug body 2, and fixed in isolation from a valve acceptor 7 receiving a valve body.
