<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device and a program for allocating a substitute product capable of enhancing a customers' satisfaction level. <P>SOLUTION: When a machine of a kind with similar specifications to a product for which maintenance is requested is allocated as a substitute product, the specifications of the product for which maintenance is requested are compared to the specifications of the substitute product. Of substitute products, a predetermined number of substitute product candidates with similar specifications are extracted and automatically allocated.
