PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication repeater system having a function for enabling one service to be used by designating equipment at a data relay destination for each type of data to be communicated, and by adaptively selecting a plurality of proper pieces of equipment. SOLUTION: A virtual equipment managing device 108 stores virtual equipment information for the use of a communication service including relay equipment information to designate the other equipment of data relay for each type of data to be communicated for the communication service according to equipment information in an internal network 115 stored in a device information storing part 104 and the control of a virtual equipment defining part 107. A communication relay part 103 relays the communication of the communication service to the designated other equipment for each type of data according to the relay equipment information in the virtual equipment information. When an internal equipment detecting part 111 detects the addition of new equipment to the network, the virtual equipment defining part 107 prepares new virtual equipment information including the equipment.
