METHOD FOR DETECTING RISK FACTOR OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA ONSET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a risk factor of bronchial asthma onset in humans and to provide an oligonucleotide and a detection kit used therefor. SOLUTION: The method for detecting the risk factor of bronchial asthma onset comprises (a) obtaining a nucleic acid containing a human TRAIL receptor gene from a test subject and (b) determining a DNA sequence of the nucleic acid to detect agenetic polymorphism of the human TRAIL receptor gene, in the method for detecting the genetic polymorphism accompanying variation of genes having possibility to cause bronchial asthma onset in humans or to transmit congenital bronchial asthma onset to descendants of humans.
