PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a pattern data by which it is possible for an unskilled person to easily produce an injection velocity data corresponding to a predetermined molded article. SOLUTION: It is characteristic that there is formed mold work information 10 or molded article shape information 14 given from a step 12 producing the molded article shape independently of it. A cross sectional area information 16 of the molded article in the axial direction of injection is extracted from the information. Injection velocity pattern data are produced in a step 20 producing the injection velocity pattern data based on the parameter information 18 such as a barrel cross sectional area, filling time, an injection stroke and the like and the cross sectional area information, and the result is stored in a memory. There is mounted a display means 24 having a function of displaying and revising the content in each step. In the step of producing the molded article shape, it is possible to produce shape information of the molded article by properly binding, combining, composing and fabricating a plurality of three-dimensional figure information such as a cylinder, a rectangular parallelopipedon and the like and specifying the shape of the molded article.
