PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize rational dressing using a function of a centerless cylinder grinder without use of a conventional dresser even if a grinding wheel 11 or a regulating wheel 7 is unevenly worn or clogged with its use. SOLUTION: This dressing method for the centerless cylinder grinder includes the grinding wheel 11 which is feed-displaced in an X-axis direction, the regulating wheel 7, and a work support portion 16 for receiving a peripheral surface lower portion and both edge surfaces of a shaft-shaped work w. In this grinder, a Z-axis feed mechanism 4a which feed-displaces the regulating wheel 7 and the work support portion 16 by a driving motor 4 in a Z-axis crossing the X axis direction which is the feed direction of the grinding wheel 11 is formed. A first dressing unit 20 for dressing the grinding wheel 11 is provided at a rest 6 for supporting and feed-displacing the regulating wheel 7 in the Z axis direction, and a second dressing unit 23 for dressing the regulating wheel 7 is provided on a wheel spindle stock 3 which supports the grinding wheel 11.
