Applicator (1) for footwear, comprising an elongated compressible container (2) to be held by hand, for containing a cleansing/polishing product to be applied onto the footwear; a block (3) connected to said container (2) comprising an orifice (5) located in a sponge (9) or brush (6) provided on said block (3), for feeding the product into said sponge (9)or brush (6); and a cover (10) for covering said block (3). According to the invention, said block (3) comprises a flat bottom side (7) comprising said brush (6), said bottom side (7) continuing in a receding side (8) non-parallel to said bottom side (7) and comprising said sponge (9).
