<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the transfer of multicast data with ease and at a low cost, in a network where mulicast routers MR and normal routers R coexist. <P>SOLUTION: In a multicast communication system, multicast data are transmitted from a transmitting terminal S1 to a first receiving terminal MT1 successively via a first router MR1 and a second router MR 5. The first router MR 1 generates the first entry information for correlating the multicast data with the destination information of the multicast data designating the second router MR 5 in response to the transmission request packet received from the second router MR5, and manages the generated data. The transmitting terminal S1 generates the third entry information for correlating the multicast data with the destination information of the multicast data designating the second router MR 5 in response to the transmission request packet received from the second router MR5, and manages the generated data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
