PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to much more accurately identify a vehicle using image recognition.

SOLUTION: This vehicle charging system is provided with a roadside system (4) and a vehicle identifying means (12). The road side system (4) is provided with an image pickup device (4b) for picking up the image of a vehicle (2), and for acquiring the pickup image and a recognizing device (4c) for recognizing certificate mentioned information printed on a certificate (3) attached to the front glass of the vehicle (2), and for generating recognition result information including the recognized certificate mentioned information. The certificate mentioned information includes certificate ID unique to the certificate (3). A vehicle identifying means (12) receives the recognition result information from the recognizing device (4c), and identifies the vehicle (2) based on the recognition result information.
