<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily detachable balustrade which is arbitrarily detachable or changeable with respect to the design model of the balustrade after construction of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The balustrade is constructed by assembling module members including fixed units, balustrade main units, and handrail units 109. Each fixed unit is formed of an erect column 101 and a louver board 103 fixed to a foundation. Each balustrade main unit is formed of an outer frame 111, an inner frame 112, and a frame-shaped fence body 113 fixed into the frames and exhibiting a design of different types including a vertical bar type, a horizontal bar type, and a fence type. Each handrail unit has a length corresponding to an interval between the fixed units, and has engaging recesses formed at both edges thereof. To assemble the balustrade, the engaging recess of the handrail unit is fitted to a protrusion formed on a side surface of the vertically standing erect column, and the balustrade main unit is fixed to the erect columns by screws.
