PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for drawing by reducing a period of time required for the modification of a line segment by selecting a calculation method which modifies without calculating a new coordinate point, in connection processing for a line segment including a curve and a curve portion with a significant width and a line segment with a narrow width. SOLUTION: For drawing the line segment with the significant width, the width and length of the line segment to be processed are decided. When the line segment has a narrow width, or has a wide width and yet a minute length, the connection processing is performed by changing modification method for the connecting portion thereof from apical connection or circular connection to bevel connection, thus selecting the modification method requiring a less calculation amount to speed up the processing.
