PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip capacitor capable of easily adjusting the resonant frequency of a dielectric filter with higher accuracy, and to provide the dielectric filter and a resonant frequency adjusting method of the same. SOLUTION: The chip capacitor capacitor 1 is equipped with a first dielectric porcelain member 1a of a nearly rectangular parallelepipedic shape, a first electrode 2a provided on the first face of the first dielectric porcelain member 1a, and a second electrode 2b which is provided on the first face of the first dielectric porcelain member 1a leaving a gap 2c between itself and the first electrode 2a. The first electrode 2a is formed on the first side of the first dielectric porcelain member 1a extending from the first side up to the adjacent second side 4 of the first dielectric porcelain member 1a, the second electrode 2b is formed on the second face 4 of the first dielectric porcelain member 1a extending from the first face to the third face 5 opposed to the second face 4, and two faces (6 and 7) out of the four sides (4, 5, 6, and 7) adjacent to the first face are equipped with no electrodes to serve as open faces (6 and 7).
