PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow acquiring of an angle of inclination of a projection surface by a simpler configuration. SOLUTION: The projection display device includes a projecting means for projecting an image to the projection surface based on an inputted image signal, a shape adjusting means for adjusting the shape of the image projected to the projection surface and a calculating means for calculating the inclination of the projection surface based on the adjustment value of the shape adjusting means.
