PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treated pigment having excellent dispersibility and excellent temporal stability, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing the treated pigment is characterized by codissolving an organic pigment and an organic pigment derivative having a sulfonic group or its salt as a functional group in a strong acid and then taking out the solution in water to mix and treat the pigment and the derivative in the minimum particle unit or to coat and treat the surface of the deposited pigment with the derivative.
