PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize sufficient exhibition of hydrophilicity at the surface of a molded item over a long period of time while retaining water resistance of the resin-molded item. SOLUTION: The resin molded item is molded from an unsaturated polyester resin added with a hydrophilizing agent. The hydrophilizing agent comprises 2.0-10.0 pts. wt. of an ultrafine particulate anhydrous silica and 0.01-0.1 pt. wt. of a polyethylene glycol or a polyethylene oxide having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000,000, each amount being based on 100 pts. wt. of the unsaturated polyester resin.
