Production of a paperback book uses a roller plate in place of the conventional contact pressure plate. Preferred Features: The rollers are laterally mounted and displaceable. The roller bed can be displaced toward the left and the right (toward the head and foot end) to improve the pressure force and to obtain uniform adhesive distribution.
