The pliers have a pressing die with two half shells (15) of which at least one is fixed without play on the receiving jaw (17) which is movable across the axis of the pressing die and is mounted axially in a socket section of one of the jaws (1). The receiving jaw is fixed by a rotational axis (20) on the pliers jaw whereby the rotational axis is displaceable by a predetermined adjusting path at least along an adjusting line. The rotational axis of the receiving jaw is formed by a spacer bolt (20) mounted in an oblong hole (21) which extends on a circumferential line with centre point in the axis of the die or tangentially to this circumferential line.
