METHOD OF PRESENTING TRAVEL SPEED OF MOVING OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate speed information on roads on which the travel records are absent. SOLUTION: A travel speed presenting apparatus 1 reads travel record information stored in a travel record data 2 and performs data classification processing for classifying the travel record information for every grid (step S1). Then, grid interpolation processing is performed on girds in which the travel record information is not arranged (step S2). In the grid interpolation processing, travel record information on peripheral grids located in the periphery of the grids of which the travel record information is absent is acquired, and interpolation processing is performed through the use of the travel record information on the peripheral grids to estimate travel speeds in the grids and generate estimated travel speeds. Through the use of the arranged travel record information and the estimated travel speeds, display processing for presenting the travel speeds of a moving body to a user is performed (step S3).
