PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety tool for a power cord capable of maintaining a normal connection state of the power cord with electric equipment, and the electric equipment with the safety tool for the power cord. SOLUTION: The base end 22 of the safety tool for the power cord 20 is fixed to an image forming device 10, and a cord part 42 of the power cord 40 is wound once around an intermediate part 24B. The cord part 42 is pinched between a first pillar 24A and a second pillar 24C. When a force is applied to the power cord 40 from a side toward an outlet side plug 46 outer from the safety tool 20 toward a direction away from an inlet side plug 44, the cord part 42 is tightly wound and the force is absorbed by the intermediate part 24B.
