PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding material which reduces discoloration and is free from a foreign odor due to scorching of vegetable fibers in melt kneading when made into a molded article, and reduces an adverse affect to the environment and the like, its manufacturing method, and an injection molded article. SOLUTION: The injection molding material has an aliphatic polyester as the major component and comprises 70-99.5 mass% thermoplastic plastic which has biodegradability and a melt flow rate (MFR) at 190°C under a load of 2.16 kgf of≥4.0 (g/10 min) and 0.5-30 mass% vegetable fibers obtained by retting. The method for manufacturing the injection molding material comprises mixing a thermoplastic plastic having biodegradability with vegetable fibers obtained by retting and heat-kneading the resulting mixture at a specific temperature.
