PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing agent of the coated surface of a vehicle, having properties for providing slipperiness, gloss and polished effects not inferior to those by a conventional manual wax treatment or coating agent treatment while satisfying water-repelling properties of a conventional coating material, and especially enabling the treatment to be easily carried out by an automatic car washer; and to provide a polishing method by using the polishing agent. SOLUTION: The polishing agent of the coated surface of the vehicle comprises an aqueous emulsion containing a dimethylsilicone oil and an amino-modified silicone oil.
