PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take out an article from an article storage box positioned on an inner side of an aperture without protruding to a vehicle space side when opening a door member of the panel aperture. SOLUTION: This article storage mechanism is constituted of the aperture 32 provided on an instrument panel 30, the door member 34 freely opening and closing the aperture 32 usually and fully retreating to the inner side of the aperture 32 at the time of being opened, and the article storage box 36 arranged on the inner side of the aperture 32 so as to be freely inclined and inclined downward on the front side interlockingly with retreating operation accompanied by opening of the door member 32.
