PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically reset a conveying part into a conveyance area when the position of the conveying part supporting a conveyed object is off the conveyance area in a parts conveying device for performing automatic conveyance and assist conveyance of parts. SOLUTION: The width and height of the conveyance area are respectively set for each of a plurality of teaching points Pa, Pb for specifying a conveying path. When the position (the present point) of the conveying part supporting the conveyed object is off the conveyance area, the teaching point closest to the position (the present point) of the conveying part is selected, and the intersections of perpendiculars from two conveying paths connected to the selected teaching point and the position (the present point) of the conveying part are respectively obtained. A closer one of the distances between the intersections and the position (the present point) of the conveying part is set as a reset center point, and the position (the present point) of the conveying part is moved into the conveyance area of the reset center point.
