PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool changing arm for an automatic tool changer realizing a general-purpose flexible grip function for gripping even a tool shank with a different nominal number to change a tool. SOLUTION: This tool changing arm is provided with: an arm body 14 mounted to an arm shaft 12 of the automatic tool changer; a pair of tool grip members 15a, 15b provided at both end parts of the arm body 14 respectively to detachably grip a tool grip of the tool shank; a driving means 17 for generating power to operate the tool grip members 15a, 15b; and a grip operating means 16 for transmitting power to the tool grip members 15a, 15b after converting the power into linear reciprocating motion of the tool grip members 15a, 15b to move in a mutually approaching or separating direction.
