PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for moving damaged checker bricks in checker chamber to the outside of the checker chamber and simply repairing damaged parts of the checker bricks, thereby preventing safety accident of workers and increasing operating proportion of the checker chamber. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1) for exchanging checker bricks(102) in checker chamber(100) comprises a driving means(10) installed under the checker chamber and driven by a motor; and a brick moving transfer car(30) comprising a driven means(32) longitudinally installed on the bottom of a body(38) of the brick moving transfer car to enable the transfer car to be moved by being cooperated with the driving means, moving wheels(36) moved along rails(34) extended from a lower part of the checker chamber, and checker bricks(102) of checker chamber rested and constructed on an upper part of the brick moving transfer car, wherein the driving means is a pinion gear installed on a driving shaft(14) installed under the checker chamber and driven by a motor(12), and the driven means is a rack plate integrally installed under the body of the brick moving transfer car in a longitudinal direction of the body to move the brick moving transfer car from the lower part of the checker chamber during driving of the motor.
