The multi-layer pipe has an inner thermoplastic layer (1) based on a substituted pentene monomer such as 4-methylpentene-1. The outer layer (2) of the pipe is a polyolefin thermoplastic, or a polyamide or a polyphenylene sulfide. A variant of the pipe has an intermediate polyolefin layer with adhesive properties relative to the inner and outer layers.
