Method and composition for detecting acid residues on electronic components

The detection of acid flux residues (AFR) on electronic components involves applying a test liquid containing a dye which changes color on reaction with AFR, washing off the liquid and noting the correspondingly colored surface areas. An Independent claim is also included for a test liquid for this method, containing the dye Nile Blue.
