A foot rest arrangement or exercise device is provided which is suitable for use in front of a seated user. The foot rest arrangement includes at least one plate 8, so that a user is able to contact the or each plate with either or both of his feet. The plate, which may be spring biassed, is arranged so as to be operatively displaceable by movement of a foot resting thereupon, such as to enable a user to flex the ankle joint of the foot being used, to raise and lower the foot and thus enhance venous blood return flow of the associated leg. The device may be mounted to a foot rest 6 of an aircraft seat. Two further exercise devices are disclosed which are adapted to rest on the floor (Figures 4-9). |
