PURPOSE: High tenacity and low shrinkage polyester drawn yarn is characterized by having low change rate and area rate of heat relaxation stress and having excellent shape stability against heat and tension. The polyester drawn yarn is useful for industrial yarn. CONSTITUTION: High tenacity and low shrinkage polyester drawn yarn is obtained by melting and extruding polyester chip which is polymerized in a solid state, at 273-295deg.C; and then drawing a extruded polymer. The polyester drawn yarn has 5-100% of change rate of heat relaxation stress and 50-140% of area rate of the heat relaxation stress on a heat relaxation shrinkage-stress curve. The polyester drawn yarn has 0.1800-0.2200 of birefringence, 44.0-55.0% of crystallinity, 0.905-0.940 of degree of orientation of crystal and 0.45-0.85 of degree of orientation of amorphous.
