HIGH TENACITY LYOCELL TIRE CORD HAVING EXCELLENT PHYSICAL PROPERTIES, AND TIRE MANUFACTURED OUT OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A high tenacity lyocell tire cord has low elongation, low shrinkage, improved strength and improved modulus. A tire manufactured out of the tire cord has increased uniformity, excellent handling stability, shape stability and increased fatigue efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A dip cord is obtained by the steps of: (i) dissolving cellulose and PVA mix powder in an N-methyl morpholine N-oxide/water solvent to manufacture a dope; (ii) extruding and spinning the dope through a spinning nozzle(2) containing orifices having 100-300μm of diameter, 200-2400μm of length, 2-8 of rate(L/D) of the length to the diameter and 2.0-5.0mm of interval between the orifices; passing the fiber type dope through an air layer(3), followed by making the dope arrived in an upper conical coagulating bath(4); coagulating the dope to get multi filament; (iii) putting the multi filament into a lower coagulating bath(8), followed by washing the multi filament into a washing bath; (iv) drying, oiling and winding the multi filament; (v) twisting the wound multi filament with a twister to manufacture a raw cord; weaving fabric out of the raw cord; and then dipping the fabric into a dipping solution. The dip cord for a tire cord has 14.0-35.0kg of breaking load, 3000-6000denier of fineness, at least 80% of fatigue resistance, 8.0-15.0kg of adhesion to rubber, 0.30-0.95 of a twist constant and 1.0-4.0 being the sum(E-S) of elongation at specific load and shrinkage at 4.5kg of tensile load. A tire contains the dip cord.
